Can't but enjoy. Post up what you think of Goldcoast's service after they finish. I have heard mixed things and am curious how things are working out there.

Miscommunication is the best way to sum up my experience so far. Very nice guys, but total miscommunication.
Reason?
I still have my bike. and if you all knew how the weather was today, i rode in it. with NO rain gear. to and fro.

Kui, what went wrong with the bike to require the valve guides to be replaced? Just curious.

Took my bike up to ECS for valve adjustment. Valves were rocking from side to sde about 1/2 inch, i didnt get a clear look, but it wasnt just wiggle wiggle. Had the biked closed up, and spent my money on new fork springs/valves and oil. ($$$ but damn worth it)
Steve recommended Gold Coast, so i gave them a rang, and said they could schedule me in on the 16th. and here i am now. And i'm going to miss out tomorrow. I just spent 30 mins blow drying my jacket and its still cold and soaked, as are my riding boots. BUGGER!

Unfortunately, this time of the year any Ducati dealer is well booked up with work and delivery of new bikes. Since your bike is operational you are on the wait list. If Scott is working on your bike you are in good hands.

I bought the Monster at Gold Coast and called to schedule the first 600 mile service (oil change and a good once over). They told me they couldn't get me in for a month
so I just went out to Chronic and have been using them since. Like Howie said, alot of places are swamped now but you have other options.

I had a leaky cylinder head on my bike, and did not want to drive it straight on the highways to get to trebour or cliffs. So, I decided to take it to GoldCoast. I dropped it off today, had to wait a week for them to schedule the appointment, and I actually got a call back today to say the bike is ready, same day service for the leaky head and the 600 mile service. When they called I thought for sure they got they maintenance orders mixed up, but that wasn't the case.
The young guy in the parts department is in his 20's, so that can throw you off, but they seem to have alot of ducati parts in stock more than I have seen at any other dealer, and the tech Brett seemed cool. I feel its a young team that is growing and learning, but so far after today I would bring my bike back to them
I have been to Trebour and I dig Joe and Tim at Cliffs is cool as well, but the distance can be a pain, so for convenience and the experience I have had so far GoldCoast is worth checking out.

I was in Gold Coast for an inspection a couple of weeks ago. Did anyone notice the new BMW presence?
The young parts guy must have been the new trainee. Danny mainly handles parts (and then some). Veteran of the motorcycle industry and with Gold Coast for some years.
Bret's actually the Service Manager. His pops, Steve, is one of the partners. Steve's been in the business since the '60s.
Obligatory experience comment...
Been using Gold Coast for 2 years (5-6 scheduled services, 2 warranty claims) and would recommend them for all your Ducati service needs.
