NHL Playoffs 2009 (FINALS!)

He's captain of the Pens. He should be leading the pens = talking to his team. You rarely see other caps chatting up the refs as often as crosby.

Isn't the captain really the only player who should be talking to the refs? At least that's the way it is on most disciplined teams.

Because I am such a huge Sharks fan, I would like to suggest that next year the President's Trophy winner chooses who they face in the first round of the playoffs instead of automatically facing the 8th seed. I say this mostly because I'm pissed off, but maybe it would be a good idea. Sharks could have picked any other team, excluding the Wings, in the western conference and beat the living snot out of any of them. Oh poo. I guess I can go back to my regularly scheduled life now that my team is out. Back to working out and eating at decent times. Who do I root for now?


Oh, and what do you guys think of a different overtime playoff format? I hate the 20 min. 5-on-5 overtimes. I suggest a more exciting one:

1st overtime: 5 minutes of 4-on-4
2nd overtime: 5 minutes of 3-on-3
3rd overtime: 5 minutes of 2-on-2
4th overtime: 5 minutes of 1-on-1
5th overtime: I would say goalie on goalie, but that is just ridiculous. And I don't think it would actually get passed 5 minutes of 1-on-1.

Now that is overtime that I would actually look forward to.

Their stud Blake was I think minus 5 for the series...

The Ducks are good but that was a bad, bad showing for SJ, they look like they are in for a tough off-season

I blame the blues for movin' on up to 6th on the last day... I wanted to see ducks/wings

Well, the Worcester Sharks are still in it, how's that ?!?! I'll tell you, Worcester was buzzing after the Sharks dispatched the Wolf Pack. Good series....W-Sharks looked good Tues. night in a tough O/T loss to the P-Bruins after clawing back from two goals down.

I live literally half way between Worcester and Providence. Gonna try to get into Game 2 next week. Providence-Worcester games are always fun because you get a great mix of fans at either venue.
