NHL Playoffs 2009 (FINALS!)

So far in the playoffs we have seen the Detroit Red Wings. 

They are a very talented, but sometimes lazy team.  When they do not play lazy
they are an excellent team that is difficult to beat because they play with perfection.

In this years playoffs Detroit is lucky to be in the finals as they have not played the
"right" team.

The one team that consistently beat detroit all year was the Nashville Predators.

The Predators Had Mike Babcock frustrated as he couldn't explain why the worst team
in the central division beat his team in four of their six games.

One game detroit losing 8-1 in nashville.

All this said, Detroit was lucky that the Nashville Predators missed the playoffs
and did not match up against detroit in the first round, as we would have seen
a nervous Mike Babcock and detroit redwings defeated in the first round.

The Preds ALMOST beat detroit last year in the first round. I forget what the trophy for ALMOST looks like.

I really don't think there's going to be a game 7. This season is going to end in Pittsburgh just like last year.

I don't think it's you. This schedule is all over the place because NBC doesn't want anything competing with Conan vs. Letterman night...

I really dislike NBC. They've goofed up the outdoor screen in Pittsburgh AND the broadcast of away games at Joe Lewis Arena.

I'm pretty much a libertarian and I think property owners should be able to do with their property as they please.  That said, NBC can suck a nut.  This whole thing is ridiculous.  Instead of people congregating at the prospective arenas, they want each person to sit at home and watch the game.  Preferably on multiple TV sets.  I realize ratings are important but, shit, NBC isn't make the beast with two backsing paying for these games.  So I say, make the beast with two backs NBC and make the beast with two backs Gary Bettman.  Once this series is over, I won't need to watch NBC anymore, since they're probably gonna cancel Chuck.

From a libertarian perspective, the airwaves belong to the people. NBC is licensed to use them.

Scuderi saves the day! What a crazy ass game. That last play I think the entire building was screaming in fear. Who wants to win the cup on the road anyway? Detroit will get the win at home for the fans. Can't wait!

Crazy final 18 seconds. Not sure how else the refs could have handled Scuderi reaching for the puck and blocking with his skate, but whatever...
