I'm glad someone tagged her as a witness and she was arrested.

It's sad and horrible.  Someone did a hit-and-run on a cyclist in our area this weekend. >:(

What a self-centered, cowardly, irresponsible thing to do.

Simple:

People don't stop all the time in hit and run accidents. Be it a motorcycle, car, pedestrian, etc.

Will they release the toxicology of the rider?

I'd be interested to see what his BAC level was.

Whoa whoa whoa.

SHE STOPPED. When the rider's wife screamed out "YOU KILLED HIM!", she sped off. The wife had to watch her husband get hit by the car, and then run over by an 18 wheeler. Another time I'm mad enough to write a letter requesting prison time. (I was also pissed about the Dallas PD officer who held the NFL player at gun point in the hospital parking lot while his mother-in-law expired inside the hospital, depriving him the last moments with her, and the ability to be there for his wife).

It was on the local news. I've been to Kellers on Friday nights and seen the guys there as well. Its less than 5 minutes from my apt.

It sucks that she did it but I can see why she did it. She was scared. She didn't think there was anything that she could do and she was scared so she ran away.

When I was a kid I did something similar. An old man fell off the bus right in front of me and cracked his head open on the floor. There was blood everywhere. The bus driver and a passenger got off to help him but I got scared and just stood there for a minute or so and then turned around and ran ran away. It still scares me that I could have stepped up and helped him to keep him from falling but I did nothing and just watched. That was a life changer for me.

Is there a lot of drinking going on?

At all the gatherings like that around here, they cruiser crowd is POUNDING beer after beer.

I am just curious to see if he was intoxicated, seeing it was 1130p at night and he was leaving a "burger and beer" meeting.

I am not making excuses for what happened, just want to see if he could have done more to avoid getting hit but was impaired to do so.

They sell beer, but most of the guys I saw walking around didn't have beers in their hands, but they do ride without helmets. [roll]

The cruiser crowd up here don't wear helmets either.

They just drink a lot and go from bar to bar to bar.

It is pretty scary to see some of these morons leave
