Which bike do you own?  How often do you have your valves inspected?

I fitted them 6k ago more for their ability to maintain tolerance and reistance to breakage rather than extending maintenance periods.
However I just stripped the engine to put in some pankl rods and the valve clearance had not moved at all.

I've installed a few sets of them. They seem well made & should work as advertised but I've never done any actual follow thru on them.

Since no one has mentioned this I will. Collets will not change the interval gap that was previously associated with deformation of the half rings. HOWEVER and this is a big one. If you just bought a ducati and you dont let the valve seats break in, valves break in etc etc (ie you install your collets at your first 6k tuneup). You will still get a change in clearance by 12k. The best thing to is to wait till your bike as settled. That about the 12k to 15k range. THEN install the collets.

Otherwise you may end up thinking you have an extended valve check interval when in reality you are just running the bike out of spec for a longer than desired time.

Since I dont know how many miles you have on your bike. I couldnt say either way.

Just food for thought.
