I nearly got one many years ago for running a red light (my bicycle wouldn't trip the traffic sensor).

NC just recently passed some legislation that allows motorcycles and bicycles to go through a red light if safe to do so if the red light sensors ignores the vehicle for three cycles of the light or 5 minutes.

Slow down.  Just think how slow you would be if you had your license and bike taken from you!

I read through this whole thread and you need to slow down before you or somebody else gets hurt.  I really hope that somehow you do not lose your license but it might be the wakeup call you need.  The fact you got a ticket 2 days in a row is saying something.  I ride a 1098 and i am constantly scanning and watching my speed on the bike.  I know it can break the limit extremely quickly and i have to use self control.  I have received 1 ticket on my bike and since then i make sure to watch my speed on both the bike and in the car.  Granted i open the bike up like everybody else but on roads i know are deserted, middle of nowhere etc.  Anything in town, highway and other well traveled roads i stay more reserved.  If its a highway i just make sure somebody is going faster than me which is very easy if your only go 15mph over the limit max where i live.

You say that you never notice cops and this makes me worry about your situational awareness.  Especially since you can not seem to judge speed very well.  IMO you need to pay more attention to what you are doing when riding a bike it sounds like you are not.

As others have said it is time for the track since you can not control yourself on the street.  On a 620 track days are not that expensive $200 on average i think for a day is normal for registration.  Then factor in gas, food and maybe a hotel.  You have a track close to you from what i read so a hotel would not even be needed.  I don't know how fast you would burn through tires but it will still be cheaper than tickets in the long run and a lot more fun.

I have no ill will and do not want you to lose your license i hope it all works out for you.  Good luck

Thanks and point taken.

I know that I am very aware of what is around me and be as safe as possible and take the calculated risks, but I do need to keep an eye on the gauge extra diligently and have more self control.

I hope this is not a derby...I tried to read through the whole thread, but it was getting painful.  Your original post was a vent and asked if anyone had any knowledge of your situation.  Well, I don't have knowledge of what happens after that amount of offenses, but I can tell you what will help.  Take an online course for driver safety/aggressive driving.  It will put points back on your license, and show that you are cognizant of your driving behavior, which the Judge will like to see.
Good luck!

I think MD law is 2 full cycle of the red light then you can run it if the road is clear.  I have a light near where I live that will never trip so I usually only wait 1 full turn before going.

I used to ride with some old guys on toaster tank R/75's that could really haul the mail.  Haven't seen them in years, though.

yeah but that thing "only" has a top speed of 165 mph electronically limited.. so its toooo damn slow   [laugh]

but seriously Dolph, its a beauty of a nice bike, a friend has a k1200r sport, he loves that thing, insanely fast and really smooth and stable, your's is probably even more so.

enjoy the bike and stay safe, and make sure you take some very very long touring trips on that thing, it would be a shame not to.

It's suppose to be for "Crusin' " so that I will have a bike to ride slower . A bike to be able to ride and take in the scenery instead of being bent over and racing from curve to curve all the time.

I'll still ride the " R " and the S4Rs but I want to slow down from time to time and also enjoy some comfortable longer rides.     Dolph    :)

How many times do most of you go out to track in a season?  At $200, it certainly isn't cheap.  I sure will give it a try at least once this season if I can save up for it.
