So, what is the deal for tonight? I need to go over to PJ's about 4:30 to pick up a new battery. I'm sure Barbara has made family dinner plans, but I'm free after that. And Matt, I need to get the house key back since I couldn't find my own before I left NY.

I have last minute bike issues. Battery was shot- started with a jump from auto, let it run for 15 minutes, would not hold enough of a charge to re-start without a jump. Over to PJ's and buy a new battery. Engine cranks over fine, but it will not start. Fuses seem fine.

Anyone have any ideas? I basically have 24 hours to get this fixed.

Pull a plug, touch it to the head , crank it & make sure you are getting any spark.

I'd say I'm not getting spark. Didn't see any when I pulled the plug and cranked the engine with the plug against the head.

So, what did I blow up? I'm checking the manual now.

Shenanigans ensued tonight as we convened in front of my house, circled up like a witch's coven around my comatose M900.  Even the mighty efforts of Stew could not awaken the Monster. However, I do not despair. I will be riding this bike to Ouray on Friday. I just need to conclude a pact with a certain Dr. Faustus.

Dang, Nic, I didn't see your reply, figured you got it & moved on. I'm headed back to Santa Fe as we speak for the day, so I'm not much help from here. My .02, take it to the dealership @ 10. Ya don't have time for the "let's try this" aproach right now, but I'm sure you're aware of that at this point. Just don't want to see your trip screwed up.

My bike is yours if you want to take it, really.

Thanks, KB, but I really have no way of getting it over there. Nor can I afford to spend lot of money on this right now. I did sacrifice a chicken just before dawn, though.
