So a co-worker rode to work today on a very nice, red Kawi GPz 750 (not sure on year, was too busy drooling). Turns out it's for sale - he's got 20+ bikes and wants to move this one since he's had it a while and needs some cash.

It's ported, polished, big valves, has 900 cams, hi-comp pistons, and a wicked sounding 4-into-1 exhaust.

He's got it advertised at a higher cost, but he'd sell it to me for $1500. For that money it could just sit in the corner forever, but I'm thinking drag bike or cafe racer.

I want. But I need another bike like another hole in my head. I haven't even mentioned it to the SO yet.....

Red means it's an '84 (the Silver ones came out in '85)

An '85 GPZ was my first new bike.

I'm  not sure what "900 cams" are, since those are different engine families, but if it is a good running bike, not too beat, they are pretty desirable.  And reliable.  And in my book, stock is worth more than modified.

Got the money and space?  Buy it, yiu can't loose.

My first new bike was a '72 Kawi S2.

You're not old.  ;)

Great minds think alike.  :)

It's almost too nice to rat out though. And wifey doesn't care for the idea at all.  :P

Painter, my first street bike was an S2.  Then an S3.   I kind of wish I still had them.  For their size, fairly quick way back when.
