Pictures when you do!

Tip: HPC's black ceramic coating is the perfect match for the black plastic components on our bikes, I've used it on my (M1100) headlight surround, petrol tank cap, zorst hangers. I'd be wary about having the forks done though - if you want em black why not vinyl wrap 'em?

Resurrecting an old thread.

The 696 Monster featured here is running Termi slip-ons with a ceramic coated exhaust.
The slip-ons look like they have the heatshield bracket removed and the elbow also ceramic coated.

Has anyone also removed the heatshield bracket and ceramic coated the elbow and how was it done?
Also if anyone has feedback on the durability of the ceramic exhaust after a few km's?

Maybe send Ung a pm. A reply might take awhile as he was flat out last time I spoke to him.

For any future readers:

The elbow is removable from the Termi slip-ons by simply pulling.
Once the elbow was removed the heatshield bracket was then removed using a die grinder without damaging the part so if required for any future requirement it can be returned to stock.

All the pipe was then sent to be ceramic coated by Jet-Hot.

The main consideration for doing this modification is that no aesthetic heatshield could be sourced, ceramic coating will provide a much cooler pipe and no pillion will be aboard for whom the heatshield interference is provided.
