I tried to bring mine in the house for the winter, but she wouldn't fit through the door.  So I had to rent a storage unit instead.  I'd be pumped to keep her in the house.  [thumbsup]

She'll go through the door as long as you have a somewhat straight run (no tight corners) into your house. If you can get a damn sofa in there you can get your bike in. You just have to angle the bars a little as you go in, maybe hold in your clutch so it doesn't scrape the snot out of your door. If you have large bar end mirrors they need to come off too, but I have small CRG bar end mirrors and it comes right in no prob. I can even put it in my den which is through another door, down a hall, around a corner and through a smaller door. Where there's a duc there's a way.

Support your local household moral, park your bike inside and treat her right.

Anyone have any permanent "museum pieces" in their homes?

I knew of a guy with a Lamborghini V-12 in his office, under a glass case. It had a dyno exhaust/intake setup so you could turn it on and rev it. 8)

Depends on if a permanently unfinished project counts as a "museum piece". [cheeky]

Bicycles belong in the house.

I'd never considered motorcycles in the house, but some of these pictures are warming me to the idea.

I would never bring something so dirty inside.

Seriously-go ride the dang things. They'll be okay if they get cold-they're made of metal.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

So here's what I'm thinking. If we had the bike up on a lighted pedestal in the garage, a large window could be placed between the living room and the garage. This would allow us to see the bike from the inside whether it is dirty or not. Also, for those of you with significant others, a curtain could be hung so they wouldn't always "have" to look at it. BTW, my girlfriend already ok'ed  it for our place (but she works at the duc dealership).

One of my customers has a brand new BMW K1200R on the third flr landing. It has never been started. It still has the plastic wrapper on the Remus carbon can. It also has a BMW GPS and is custom BMW black painted. I look at it in all its beauty and think what a shame that it sits there. I told him to get the Tesi 3D next because That is a piece of art.

I'm not so sure that the wife would let me park a bike in house...

I'm not sure why a woman would put herself in such a precarious position.  No good can come from making her husband choose between her & the duc... I mean it's a no brainer!

LOL at bikes inside! My wife would kill me, but if I were single, u bet! Although garage is better for working on them, hmm, definitely an art piece I'd say [clap]

when i finish my bike, she will be in the house too!

my dad built his house with a garage door off the living room.................so he can keep an eye on his xke.

btw-my parents are divorced.
