Don't get me started again on a shotgun/self defense rant! [laugh] Don't bring your 9mm to my shotgun fight! [bang] I don't like cats but I wouldn't shoot them... unless they came at me with a knife. [thumbsup]

well I can't exactly carry a scatter gun when I walk my dog ;D

but I'd like to hear your thoughts on it as a home defense piece.

Oh, I could make all sorts of nasty references to that statement but out of respect I won't! [laugh]

That's exactly what I was thinking.  ;)

10pumps from 30 feet instantly killed a cat.

Not sure of the "skin and fur" on a skunk but if it did that to a cat, I can't imagine the same wouldn't happen to a skunk.

I'd rather pop it with my .22 but city ordinance does not allow discharging of firearms within city limits.

I've heard of those white powder .22LR rounds that are supposedly a lot quieter (not that a .22 is loud, but will draw attention, but their effective range is only 25ft or something. I suppose if I took out one of my screen and took the shot from inside, the majority of the "bang" would resonate through my house then off the condos across the street.

make the beast with two backs humane with this make the beast with two backser. I have almost been sprayed 3-4 times by it.

It is in Indiana too.

A friend of mine got nailed by a sting for supposedly shooting at geese from a public road.

He was actually off the road, but still had to go to court and lost his shotgun for almost a year.

He was set up by the DNR with decoys.
