excellent choice.  i love the cz.

i have a model 85, not the B models, the original with the blued finish and no firing pin block and czech mil front site.  very fun

Mine also has no firing pin block even though it's styled like a B.

The 'Combat' model is sort of an entry level competition pistol and the block adds to trigger pull weight.

The back four rounds in the Side Saddle look like S&B 00 buck. Are the front two S&B slugs?

All Wolf not S&B.  2 slugs and 4 00 buck.

Those slugs are a pregnant dog out of a short barrel.  Blow a hinge or handle right off.

... just keep it for whatever...

yep.. that about sums up why i keep mine..  [wine]

i was hoping to find a holster for it, dammit.

mine had the bantam stock as well but i put the "WP" birdhead on it.  i should put the stock back on it, i think it's more usable, but it looks nastier this way.

I talked to a local smith about adding ghost sights, but that was a long while ago.  It was around $75 + the cost of the kit which was about $80 at the time.

Mine was used when I got it, pretty beat up actually.  I got the barrel recoated and receiver and planned to put a new trigger group in it.  It's gone thru a few changes since I got hold of it.    It had the +1 tube but I lost it :-[. I just put a regular cap on it.  I am so glad I bought it before getting married tho..   [laugh]

Mine.  Wilson Combat NFA 870.

It's good for concealed carry.

How comfortable is that thing to shoot?

Of course, looking at it, I get the feeling it's designed to solve problems with only one or two shots. . .

it's not bad at all, except that the muzzle is closer to your ears.

i've answered the door with it 2ce for problems and fired nary a shot. they just got wide eyed and stuttered a bit and left.  no idea why.

the slugs are actually easier recoil-wise.  i don't know why, i am sure there is some "physics explanation".. they just "poop!" right out..

I finally got to fire it.  Anything further than 15 feet will almost impossible to hit.

I was a little surprised at how mush flash the muzzle has.   ;D

the cartridge is almost as long as the barrel!  of course it has flash!

i have a model 40, nearly perfect shape.  can't bear to shoot it though.  still has the old cockspur hammer too.

I love those little J frames! I've got some pretty trick ones worked over by Weigand and others. Ported, bobbed hammers and trigger jobs. They are actually one of my favorite carry guns. Yeah 5 rounds of hot .38 doesn't sound like much unless you are on the receiving end! [evil] They always work and never jam. In the winter I carry one in my right coat pocket. I'm right handed. Don't even need to pull it out. I'd have no hesitation shooting through my coat and trouble making duffus would never see it coming! [thumbsup]

lol, who doesn't like the J frames?

it's the best gun to have stashed around the house too.  out of the reach of kids, of course, but always good to have one hidden in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, garage..  :D

Wow! I just pulled up Jack Weigand's website for fun and damn, he doesn't even do any of the gunsmith work he used to do. [bang] It's all handgun scope mount shit and that's it. I

probably got tired of the ffl paperwork hassles

^^^ Nice .38!

My first handgun, Buckmark 22.  Wanted a Ruger but it was out of my financial reach at that time.

Later on in life I bought the Ruger.

Had to have the red dot scope.

As for entertainment, you can't beat the 22's.   [thumbsup]
