For as long as I've been into bikes, I thought it was pronounced moto goo-zee (phoenetically-sp?)  The other day i was talking to another rider and he pronounced it moto goot-zee

Which is correct?

just wonderin'

I think it's the second one. In Italian the 'zz' is pronounced 'tse' I believe, like in 'pizza'.

ahhhh, got it.  Dunno why I didn't think of the pizza thing.  And Randi, that forvo site is interesting, definitely deserves another look.

You are getting too technical. In Texas I call my '78 Guzzi LeMans a PastaRocket! laughingdp Seriously, I think the Goot-Zee part seems right. What the hell do I know? Ask an Italian. Hell the Brits on SpeedTV narrating the WSBK and MotoGP races call the Ducs "dew catis". laughingdp

Try saying it with a valentino rossi-esque accent.  It simply won't work as goo-zey

( seriously, say it out loud ... then say goot - zey  Grin )

I know that it is Gut-Tsi... but I feel like a bit of a pratt saying it like that, so for me it'll reamin Moto Guzzi (Thats Guzzi with a "u" as in "us" not as in the Israeli sub-mauchine gun ;-)
