Got a call Friday. They gave me a lady's name who is suppose to call me Monday to replace me wheel. I decided to keep the rear wheel because the scratch on it was very minor. Hopefully this will all be over soon. I miss riding my bike! It's been hell with these wheels sitting out next to my bike and the inability to mount them! Well the front. I could not resist and mounted the rear a few nights ago.

BTW anyone here with a DS swing arm have troubles with sprocket carrier clearance? The bolts that hold the sprocket are rubbing the swing arm.

Make sure you are completely ok about keeping a scratched carbon (BST or otherwise) wheel.  If I were you I would be more inclined to making the shop replace it as well.  Try to contact BST directly (www.blackstonetek.com/ContactUs.php) and get their thoughts on the matter.

I am no where near being ok with the condition of the wheel. The time it has taken....the entire situation is and has been completely unacceptable for me. My bike has been sitting on stands for over a week now. The back wheel wasn't so bad. Very minor scratch to it that will not stand out at all. I can see it because I am very meticulous...

Impatient at this point too; that is why I have started to attempt to install the rear wheel.

I sent an email to BST a few moments ago asking there advice. I also asked them about the rear wheel install as I am unable to get it to set at all without tapping the spacers all the way down. Otherwise I cannot get past the housing for the brake. With the spacers all the way down the bolts for the sprocket carrier hit the swing arm.

I am sure that I will have the shop replace both wheels. IMO I should get a free set of tires out of the deal too. Hopeful my next post here will be tomorrow with this worked out.

Yes, it actually came with three. One on each side and one that sits before the sprocket carrier. I'm still not sure why there is one between the carrier and the wheel seems pointless...

i just read this whole thread and i can't believe you are keeping a brand new $1750 chipped Carbon fiber wheel. NO WAY would i let them get away with that. if it took 3 months i would demand new rims (in the meantime i'd have stock rims mounted so i could ride though)

Here is a shot of the back wheel. You have to get pretty close to see the mark. I agree though I am going to have them replace it also. I would put my stockers back on, but that would mean buying a new chain...frankly I cannot afford that right now. So looks like I will be without my Duc for a while. It was wishful thinking attempting to mount this one...

Well another chain...I already bought one for these wheels. My old chain was shot. I don't want to use the new chain/sprockets on my old wheels. Unless I find out that it is going to take a long while to get this solved.

shouldn't be a big deal to use the new chain and sprockets on the current rims and then swap them to the new rims. anyone else want to help me get him on the road!

Not to be an ass, but you dropped 3k on wheels and don't can't afford a $100 sprocket?

I would be ridding my bike with old wheels while waiting for the new bsts.

Mitt...the wife said not more money on the bike for a while. Not so much a matter of cash that I can't afford

Would it be ok to swap out a chain and sprocket?
