What is the chance of someone taking photo's along the way and posting them, ill be watching from Australia but would love to see and read about some of your experiences.

SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD

BTW - I have a camping pass in turn 5 available that I'm helping a friend sell. He paid $500. One of our board members has already expressed interest, but you never know - people are flakey.

So, here's the deal:

For sale is the Turn 5 camping pass and support vehicle hang tag - space 241. It's HUGE! Great view of T5 exit and T6 entrance - see the attached map. posted price on the pass is $275, but they sold out immediately, hence why he paid so much. Let's make a deal.

For more info check: http://www.laguna-seca.com/pages/camping

Who's going? Let's talk!

Ok... Me and dad are leaving as soon as we can after work on Friday (3-5pm) and riding to Kettleman City (off the 5) to get some of the ride (read: slab) out of the way before heading to the track Sat morning. I doubt we'll see anyone on the way up...

Are there any "meet-ups" at the track?

Is there a specific departure time/place for the ride back on Monday morning?

If we're just "playing it by ear" then maybe I could get a cell phone number from somebody so's we don't end up missing the gang... waytogo

Really looking forward to the ride back!  [moto]

I wussed and for the first time in 10-12 yrs, I drove up the 5 in a cage.  Got off at Coalinga and cut across to San Lucas/101 via 33 and 198 (good scenic route!)  From there, we took the 101 to 68 and in to Carmel.  We stayed at a great B&B, the Briarwood Inn, for the third year in a row.  Friday dinner at Forge in The Forest, Saturday dinner at Tarpley's with the Dunlop crowd, and Sunday dinner at Casanova's (which I highly recommend!)

A buddy carted my HM up in his truck so we could take the bike to the track.  A little chilly riding to and from the track for us SoCal wimps.  Despite the morning/evening chill and fog, the weather was great at the track.  Crowds and parking were manageable.  Didn't spend any time in the vendor/midway/Ducati Island areas.  Mostly stayed in the paddock with Turn 4 Suite and Pit Row Suite credentials.  Never made it to Monterey/Cannery Row.  Just had a mellow weekend, mostly in Carmel.

Drove home on 1 (very few bikes on the road from 10am-4pm, didn't see a single CHP on the return.), stopped in Ragged Point for coffees, then on to the seal beach for photos... home by 4pm to watch the TiVo recording of the race.

Good times, I think I may go back for the Sept AMA races.

Only person from SoCal I saw was Derby, wandering through the paddock.
