If you had to describe yourself as a Japan-bike person, which would you choose?

V-4s are my second favorite engine. Had an NC24 for a while, that was a fun machine. I'd still consider picking up a an old Interceptor for a daily rider (there is a Rothmans replica 750 for sale just north of Montreal, yum yum). And of course the RC-51 is a pretty cool twin, even if it isn't a Ducati. Stomping power, decent looks, Honda engineering, cheap used prices, can't really go wrong with one of those.

If the Japanese had NO other competition in the world.....what would you choose?  Or, which manufacturer makes a product you most closely 'relate' to?!?

Oh, and I'm just curious....  There's no hidden marketing BS here.

I guess I'm in the minority...

I chose Kawi....because it was my first bike...

Handled like shit....

but for a 350...

it was really fast...

fast enough to blow any 4 stroke 750 of the day away.

I voted Kawi BTW...  I've  owned & ridden all four and the violent power delivery of the Kawi's I've ridden gets my vote.

(Honda RC30's notwithstanding, and I've ridden two of them.  YUM!)

I've always loved Kawi green, so it would be a ZX6R for me.  F those squidly GSXRS and everyone hates Hondas.  I guess the R6 is ok, but they don't come in green. [laugh]

I grew up in the H1 H2 S2 era.

The H2 made all of like 75 hp...

It was the nastiest 75 hp you could throw a leg over.     ;D

After my recent experience with my 2008 Kawasucki ...

I've sold off Makemewaki too - the other three - it's really a toss up, but I've liked the value that Yamaha have put out there.

There needs to be a "none of the above" option.  [roll]

Yeah I hear that-the kill switches on Japanese bikes are *way* harder to find than those on a Ducati.
