In case you were curious like me, my " R " will do " 101 mph in 2nd gear. " Tested this past Friday afternoon. I was on a 1/3 mils straight and decided I wanted to know , so I ran it up until the shift light came on and short shifted to 4th and coasted into a small town at the end of the straightaway. No, the 620 should be able to hit at least 50 in first. My S2R800 did a hair over 60 in first.

So, having never hit the limiter, what do you do? Just leave her there and twist? My conscious wants to shift. I cant help but think that I am doing some grave damage.

You are doing damage. Bikes get hurt feelings when not properly flogged. The rev limiter protects you from winding it up too high, so in theory hitting the rev limiter should not harm the bike. |

When the Red shift light came on that was enough warning to shift for me. ! I ran it up slowly sort of. Not wide open. Dolph |

I don't think there's much difference in gearing so all Duc's should have similar top speeds in lower gears. I think the smaller motors may even have higher rev limiter settings? It's only the higher gears and speeds where wind resistance is the limiting factor and bigger motors will go faster. Am I thinking right on this?
