satos are nice, but beware of the set that has the brake pedal in the same arrangement as stock, the sato pedal hits the faring...lame. so either get the type two's or don't use their pedal. if confused, come in and i will show you what i mean. also, ben is right, in the interest of less weight or just being idiots, ducati managed to make the most bendable rear set mounts, they bend with the folding pegs too. so keep full coverage.

If frame tabs are a problem then there is always this option......

Thanks for the link...I don't want to think of the labor hour costs to strip down to the trellis to weld them on and rebuild the bike.
Too bad the OEM tabs don't give you the option to adjust rearset placement.

Well, first off, don't crash.
I don't think there is major strip down work to do the replacement work unless you want to powdercoat the whole frame afterwards. Regardless, most of this discussion is over an extremely minor point.

LOL...true, I just wanted to get Wills input on folding vs fixed pegs and I kept my rant going.

right, well, i like folding pegs
i used to work at a place called acutronix and we made lots of billet stuff, mostly high end harley stuff. i never dug on fixed pegs even on those forward controls, and for sport bikes bendy pegs = happy ankles.

Strong fuel smell emanating from the SF as of late..up until today it's been most noticeable when parked in my garage, but it was real strong when I was mounting the bike after lunch at the North Shore this afternoon. Looked for a leak when I got home but found none, gonna ask Will to check it out tomorrow when I take the bike in for a new rear tire and a safety check...hope it's not what I think it is.
Changed out the air filter today as part of the 15k miles service and it reeks of gasoline...

Yup, 14,623 miles to be exact...it's been a lot of fun, and I've learned a helluva lot following the likes of you, Mad Duck, et al...

Wish I could get you guys up here to hit some of the roads I've been riding over the last year. You'd have an absolute blast!!

You love throwing salt into the wound don't you?
He's already told us how disappointed he was to get back on our roads after his SoCal visit.
