Prolly just a rumor.......
Last I heard an enthusiast will be testing something similiar this Fall on a S2R800 for seal durability / reliability somewhere on the West Coast. Probably just another rumour though...

Check out my oil filter forensics thread! Offended? Click here"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I've seen clear windows on other makes of clutch and gearbox covers, these also have to be oil tight so its certainly possible. Heres the first one I found searching the internet, though its a Kawasaki the same principles will apply to any model http://www.zxrworld.co.uk/zxr400/styling.htmlFrom what I've seen of the members of this site I'm sure there will be a couple with the technical skills and equipment to fabricate something like this for a wet clutch model. Or take a stock wet clutch cover to a machine shop and ask them to do it.

I'm not sure a window into a bunch of oil splashing around would enhance the bike visually.

They make such a thing for the 'Busa and ZX-14 crowds. Looks kinda neat, dunno about performance enhancing. You could drop big dollars and do the conversion.....

Neat idea. If I was running wet i would seriously consider this mod.
I wonder if an internal light source can enhance it in darker conditions? It would be kind'na cool riding at night or even help in day light to better see the mechanical actions. Nevertheless the light source will have to handle some extreme heat. Not LEDs but maybe incandescents. Just a thought.

You could chrome out the swingarm too. And add a neon around the engine. Sarcasm aside, I think the light is a little much personally.
