We got a really nice one at Walmart.

Yeah, hate the place, but the quality of this stand is VERY good, believe it or not.

I will take some pictures at lunch and post up.

I think we paid 100-135$ for it.

we have a 42in plasma

Really?  Damn.

I hadn't even considered looking at WM.  I just figured it would all be crappy.

I had the same thought until I actually looked.

It is constructed of steel/metal and has 2 glass tiered shelves on it.

It then has a "bar" that is vertical that you hang the TV from, with MANY different mounting options. Also, you can hide all your cables in the vertical bar.

kind of looks like that, but I don't recall it being 213$

got it on sale at the store

That's not quite what we're looking for (too open) but there were some other stands that might work for us at WM.com.  Thanks for the link,

That's really neat!  A little pricey though ($1000)

they make nifty little channels that hide the wires, so no redneck wiring.
note the color coordinated "bump" on the wall between the tv and the console below.

i only pointed to that option because it then opens up all kinds of other options for what to put on the floor below the tv (for components, movies, whatever...)

I have the same wire hiding piece as that, works well.

I like it. It's very sturdy and looks great.

TV is mounted above with a generic 47-60" TV wall mount (I have the 52" Samsung A650).

Just put the new tv on top of the old tv. That is how the classy people do it.  [laugh]
