Not doing any engine work. It was rebuilt by the previous owner about six years ago. After I found out what it was worth I hardly ever drove it. I am going to pull the engine for some detail work and put a synchro in the trans.

The engine is almost done....looks a lot better. Hopefully by next weekend the motor will be back in and running again. This was the first Porsche engine I removed. Did it by myself in a couple of hours. Only 4 bolts holds the engine/transmission in :o

You cannot believe how good it sounds at 7k rpm. The older Porsches sound better than the new ones imho. Well, except for the Carrera GT. Kind of hate to sell it when it's done, but it should be in someones collection.

I have to disagree. I think it needs to be driven and enjoyed. I'd hate to see it go to waste is a collection...

The reason I say it should be in a collection is that there just aren't very many like this left. A Porsche restorer told me there may only be 20 of these in the states. There is one for sale on the German market and the ad says only 3 known in Europe. They're asking 69k Euro for it, which is about 104k dollars. And it's in pieces! It's been completely stripped and painted and the engine rebuilt, but you have to put it together. The only other one I've seen in the states just sold for 117k dollars. Now you know why it will be for sale ;)
