Definately NOT a Prius.

I'd vote to reboot the 1988 Pontiac Banshee concept car as a new eco-friendly ride if I thought it would do any good; sadly with Pontiac dead, I doubt it'll ever be resurrected.

I always loved the lines of this concept though.

wait, so you think you'll be able to tweak a nuclear power plant but don't even know how to wind your own electric motor?

check out some of the videos that have been posted on electric drag racing.

I thought nuclear was an obvious joke.

I will check out some of those youtubes, thanks.

whatever... bmw tried to make a good looking car with their "concept".
the prius is aimed at all the former hippies who feel angst about using cars.
intentionally ugly to remind them of what bad people they are, and why they paid a premium for it.

i think they tried to make it "edgy" and it looks like crap.

i also think that the current gen of the prius doens't actually look that bad.
the first gen was awful.

I hope it isn't.

I want a pocket fusion reactor that I can plug in to the cigarette lighter like a usb drive to make it go. [thumbsup]

Currently the smallest vehicle I know of with nuclear power is 150' long and 12' wide...

That I can stand behind. I don't know about any nuclear powered sitting in my pocket next to the boys.

Oh, BTW, nuclear reactors don't make power. The reactions cause heat which is transferred to pressurized water which then heats water outside of the reactor that is allowed to boil and create steam which turns turbines that convert it into electricity.

Actually they do make power, we just can't harness it.

That's why I put the "make" in italics. We don't currently possess the technology to harness the radiation energy in any way other than the heat production...
