Why did you not call this thread "Things I F'n Hate"?

Like i said on another thread, If you dislike a bike that much, lets see what you actually like...or wear in this case.

Never said I didn't like 'em.  As far as current sneaker design is concerned... they're pretty much on point.

Can I get 'em in yellow?   Grin

You will have to hold out for the color therapy panel kits.  I am sure that yellow will be an option.

Who the hell designer keeps deciding it's a good idea to put patent leather on athletic shoes?  Angry Dumbest damn fad I've seen and I remember the MC Hammer pants. If you want dress shoes, buy them. I will not be impressed when you attempt to interview in your ghetto loafers. If you are any good at the sport of your choosing you won't need these to make an impression. It's like off roading a Lamborgini.... er....

I like them. I get the design cues nodding to the tank and trellis in the shoe. Pretty neat. And I always liked the Pumas too. Guess I'm a weirdo.  Grin

I loved the LM002!  All the Saudi oil families used them in the '80's to patrol their compounds.  Mount a belt-fed gun on the tail, and you've got a neat 12-cylinder patrol vehicle.   laughingdp

Back on topic, I could never wear a pair of Ducati-branded shoes.  It's not the style of the shoe, per se, but the over-the-top logo branding that bothers me.  Ducati-branded moto riding boots, maybe (if the branding is subtle), but not Ducati street shoes of any sort.

Precisely why MV is no longer MV. You keep holdin' out on branding like the other Italian "Big Boys"  did & your next Ducati will be purchased from an _-_ dealer also.

 Undecided

Hey Blue Booger ( that is what that means, right?), Do you wear anything with the Ducati logo on it that is not for riding protection?

I'm not sure you're addressing me, but you quoted me so I'll take the question.  Who the hell is "Blue Booger"?  Is that some sort of infantile insult aimed at me?  Huh?  If it is, please turn off mommy's computer now and leave this forum to the adults.

Yes, I own many non-protective items featuring a Ducati logo on them.  I wore a Ducati lanyard for my tickets when I was at the MotoGP in Indy.  My wife and son each have caps with Ducati logos on them - both purchased from the SoCal Ducati tent at Ducati Island.  I have a single Ducati Monster t-shirt with the Cagiva-era logo on the front and a ducatimonster.org logo on the back.  I have a yellow Ducati garage cover for my bike.  I've picked up a number of other items over the years that have Ducati logos, including the vintage-logo key chain I use every time I ride.

I've also made a pilgrimage to Bologna to visit the Ducati factory and museum.  Brought my family there in March of '09.

It's clear that I'm not 'holding out' on Ducati by avoiding their branded items.  I also think that the leather riding apparel ("Ducati by Dainese") is really nice and I'd be proud to wear it.  I just think that Ducati-branded street shoes are not my style.  I would never wear them.  Your style may vary.  I apologize if this insults you, and I hope you enjoy your flashy red Ducati Pumas or Filas and wear them with pride.

Ciao

Truly sorry if I offended you, but that's how it reads to us Northern New Mexicans.  We thought it was a cool name, so no need to get defensive.  What does it mean to you if I may ask?

As far as the rest of your post (and what is in your families closet)...  To each his own.

They have to get our attention somehow (possitive or negative), and in this case there is a thread with pages of insults about a pair of shoes.

Result: They win....Hopefully.

I hope you get my point.

And for the record, I'll pass on those shoes also.  But not before the Prius branded version.  laughingdp

Im a designer, and as a student you make designs for your portfolio (or website portfolio) and it helps to use a brand. In this case Ducati. Ducati is in no way part of it, but it shows his "capability" to follow a design language, i.e. ducati, though i dont think this does very well. And Fila? Are they even still around?

+1 i dont like it
Fila is still a viable sport clothing manufacturer.

1. I really enjoy how people get SOOO wound up by the whole branding issue and then follow suit with H-D based similarities...
2. Those shoes look like ass....
3.

... I recall a comment on the old board describing a posters'  choice of footwear and "Metrosexual swim fins" was all i can remember laughingdp

I think the same descriptor applies here..

Don't like 'em or the current ones made by Puma. Mainly because the soles are so thin, they provide very little support. Your feet would probably be aching after walking for 2 hours in them. Or maybe it's just me. Damn, I'm getting old...

Just my .000002

I guess one could use other branded comparisons, like golden arches, swooshes, bullseyes, Etc..
But we happen to be on a motorcycle forum, so...
 1: They are convenient
2: The redesigners of _-_ are the designers of most of the stores you (or most of us) shop at.
3: I worked for _-_ for 11 years, and on the retail redesign for 2.

Thought it was worth at least .000002

But what the hell do I know?

Be careful stud, you type their name 3 times it'll be like F'n Beetle Juice.
