widsom tooth pulled

just had 1 wisdom tooth pulled.

waiting for the pain to start in few hours

Had all four of mine out last year.  Was eating solid food withing 4 hours with no pain or bleeding at all.  It's really now as bad as most make it out to be.  

I didn't even take most of the pain pills (while I was in pain )

On a funny note, when I was in the recovery room my Mom said that nurse asked me how I was and I said "I'm make the beast with two backsed up! Now lets go get some beer"  They had a good laugh at that.

Mine came in straight but they pushed my teeth forward causing 2 molars to crack. Last Thursday I had all 6 teeth removed. Friday I was still partially numb but Friday night I was pretty sore. I just alternated Tylenol and Ibuprofen every 2 hours along with frozen yogurt, pudding, applesauce and ice packs and never got what I would call a 4 on the pain scale.

Sunday I ate solid food with no problems. Yesterday I had the sutures taken out and and healing well.

The nitrous (laughing gas) i think was really good though.  Never tried it before.  lol

Nope, i have no pain killer prescribed.  I better get some ibuprofen.

I had two out before and boy did it hurt for next couple of days.  
The remaining wisdom tooth (1) decide not to do it yet as I have implant tooth next to it and wasn't sure.  That implant cost an arm and a leg.  I could have bought another 620 almost (used one) 

(Everytime I say implant, my mind goes somewhere else)

That is some fast recovery for some of you guys.  Lucky dogs !

I was reading about dry socket and what the dentist was saying.  Now that is some scary stuff there.


While at the dentist, i was asking the nurse will that gas make me talk.  Have memories of what happened to me when i had kidney stone removed few years ago.  The nurse told me that  during recovery, I was pointing to all the nurses and saying "you're hot!  you're hot!" and the friend that came to pick me up, I was saying to her "You're hot !  You're hot!"

You can actually have it done at Ohio State Dental School for a lot cheaper.

Sounds like a good idea there.  In hindsight, I should have gone there instead.  

But then I never went to the student haircut, so hmmm not sure about student dentist   

I remember a nursing student friend of mine asking me if she could practise syringe injection on me.   Never !  Never !  Never on me !

drinking on it is not a good idea.

It is very hard on your liver due to alcohol + acetaminophen.
