I think your wrong when you say who cares.  I think a lot of people are interested in Lesnar whether they like him or hate him which means more buys for the UFC.  Why misjudge the guy just because he was pro wrestler.  He was also a 2 time NCAA champ in wrestling.  So when you discount him you also have to discount guys like Matt Hamil, Josh Koshcheck, Mark Coleman, and Matt Hughes to name a few.  This guy is the real deal.  He has to cut about 20 pounds to make weight which no one in that division has to do.  Once he gets a few fights under his belt and gains confidence in his stand up he is going to be a force to be reckoned with.  Also, the UFC's heavy weight division is weak and new comers like Lesnar and a few other young guys are coming up and will hopefully challange Affliction in the heavy weight area.

Side note.  His hands are so big they had to special make his gloves.

GSP is one of those guys that looks unbeatable right now. Add Silva to that list.
I like Fitch alot and think it'll be a damn good fight.
I'd like to see what Florian does against Huerta. Give the edge to Florian.

BTW, whatever happened to Gabrielle Gonzaga? That guy's a fvckin' masher.

+1  I'm not a huge fan but I don't wish any ill will on the guy.  Lots of fighters come into MMA with a weaker background than NCAA wrestling.  And being a 2 time champ, in my mind makes him a legit competitor.  At least until he proves otherwise.

Where did you get from my comments that I'm discounting all of those other fighters and wrestlers??

I didn't say a thing about not liking Lesner because he was a pro wrestler.

I'm not misjudging him.  I just don't like the guy.

Sgt..who's wishing any ill will on the guy?!

Where are you guys getting this stuff?!   laughingdp laughingdp laughingdp

I didn't think you were wishing ill will on this guy. In fact I love this thread and typically you and I are the ones posting on here.  I'm just a big Lesnar fan (yes from his WWF days) and thought when you called him an oof I thought you were disounting him.  I think if MMA fans give him a chance they will be rewarded with a powerful fighter who can dominate.  I wouldn't want to take his best punch.  His fists are the size of canned hams.

I don't think getting hit with a sledge hammer would feel too good either!  I'm sure the guys fists are bigger than my head!

They probably are as big as your head.  Also his neck muscles are so huge it has got to be really hard to knock him out.

Anyways, this is going to be  a great card and I can't wait for the KenFlo Huerta fight.

There is going to  be at least three great fights tomorrow.

Jon Fitch will give GSP a good fight but I see GSP submiting him in the 3rd.

Lesnar is going to knock out Heath Herring in the first or get submitted in the second.

I'm going out on a limb saying Kenny Florian is going to beat Huerta by knock out.  This will be the fight of the night.  Both of these guys love to bang.  And as Florian always says "I finish fights"

I agree.  So far, Huerta has not met anyone of Florian's caliber (and would get destroyed by Penn).  Of course, Florian has not met anyone of Penn's caliber and will, thus, get destroyed.  On the 7th Day, God rested so that He could spend extra time creating B.J. Penn on the 8th Day.  laughingdp

Lesnar is a beast, but a somewhat untested fighter.  I could see Herring submitting this guy.

Thanks for the link.

No problem!   waytogo

We typically buy the fight on pay-per-view but since we aren't hosting UFC parties anymore (at least until we meet some other local fans), we decided to get out of the house.

Don't be discouraged if you don't see "your" bar on that list, it is not comprehensive.  A couple bars I know that are showing it, are not on there.

BTW, Adam - Hooters Lake Union stopped hosting UFC showings!  James and I were crushed!!!  You guys leave and the city goes to hell!!!!!!
