alright Vics, let's get it together!

Dosverde and I spent Sunday checking out the country side...and think we should plan something for this Saturday.

Dos has done the hard yards and started the plan...

starting at Ringwood, Smoking Joe's opposite Ringwood Lake? is the where we met last time Ita? Going through Yarra Glen, Healesville, Alexandra, Yea, Flowerdale, Broadford, Whittlsea, Kinglake, Yarra Glen. See my google map link below.

Whaddayareckon? All suggestions will be happily accepted  Wink Then I will post to see if who else would like to join us.

now, we could it round the other way....some things to think about:

Black spur has a lowered speed limit of 80 kph as of this Thursday, the police will be out in force around the area, doesn't effect me - I think I pushed 65 kph last weekend - but you blokes that can actually ride, well, it could be smart to avoid the area?

also....Kinglake down to St Andrews - let's just say I can do it faster on my pushy! It was not fun coming down that bad boy!

All Melbourne riders welcome of course!

Slight change of plan, I think we are looking at:

Ringwood, Yarra Glen, Healesville, Alexandra, Yea, Trawool, Tallarook, Broadford, Strath Creek, Flowerdale, Kinglake West, Kinglake, St. Andrews, Panton Hill, Christmas Hills, Yarra Glen...

Is that Google map working, should see a blue line marking out the route, I can't see it now though.

And 'cos it was so freaking cold doing the Black Spur at 8:00am yesterday, shall we say 9:00am meeting for a coffee?

Dockstrada, we're Victorians - it will be a brioche with a café latte! then a beer!

guys - it's looking like it's 9 degrees to 18 degrees - nice - Dos that is a 50% increase from last weekend mate! we can still do an early start!

Howdy Peoples.
Kinglake-St.Andrews Errrrrr no thanks , I like to keep my rims round!

My 2cents worth here, for those that would like a little shorter ride,
Yarra Glenn, Healsville(Coffee),Healsville racecourse road to Toolangi, Kinglake, Kinglake West, Whittlesea Pub Lunch, and then split.

And....how about a Lake Mountain run in the warmer weather??? Roads are soooo smoooth.

Cheers.

Well as long as things don't turn to Kaos as per normal I should be along.
However I might meet ya's at Yarra Glenn, as I'll be coming from the Northern Subs, Greensborough Hurstbridge.

St Andrews Rd., first it started to break up, then they tared and stoned it, then the locals turned nasty and started putting oil on the corners.

Cheers.

Sounds like a top idea!!  Unfortunately I'm fully booked.  We're taking an out-of-towner to the Healesville Sanctuary.

Can I make a suggestion though?  How about heading from Kinglake across the Melba Hwy to Toolangi, then down the Chum Creek road and turn off just before Healesville toward Yarra Glen.  The Chum Creek Road is great fun although you would be heading down the hill instead of up.
Just a thought.

have a good one. waytogo

Anyone else coming?

So far it's me, Spider and possibly MadAlf.

I think we should give more notice for the next ride and put a vote on a date that suits more people  [moto] [moto] [moto] [moto] [moto]

I'm asking because we may change the meeting place to Yarra Glen at 9:30.

Cheers,

Well I enjoyed the 1st Melbourne ride! the Buxton to Alexandra was foggy and bloody cold - but this is what keeps us tough. Great route by Brendan.

Riding companions were excellent - no whinging, just good riding examples - thanks to Dos Verde and Madalf.

300km on the dot when I pulled into the drive way, so that wasn't bad.

next weekend (with decent weather!) I'm going to hit Mt Dandenong, sassafras, emerald, through to Koo-wee-rup then  along the south gippsland hwy to Leongatha then down to the tip of the prom! Everyone is welcome!

should the Vics come up with another ride and another date - but this time further out so you can plan better?
