Well that feeling has now dissipated.  I now feel like putting on a pair of warm socks, sitting in front of the TV and changing the channel from ESPN, History and Discovery for a couple of hours.

Life, alas is very drear. Up with the glass and down with the beer!

My life is a hellishly complicated drinking game.

That is an apt and profound observation. I think I like it.  [thumbsup]

My life is a hellishly complicated drinking game.

Or it could just be a simple binary:

Damn, all this SUCKS = Drink

or

Man, oh man, ain't life grand = Drink

I feel good.  I'm cooking two pounds of bacon, just cracked open a Gordon Biersch ale, listening to Led Zep (Bring it on Home), and friends are coming over.  My Ducati dealer/mechanic and I talked about the upcoming 1078 upgrade the Monster.  Thoughts of upgraded power are swirling through my head.  I hope it is everything I want.  I had the best sex of my life this week.  The type that changes me and my priorities.  There is a high likely hood of that continuing through the weekend.  We are going to get a lot of snow this weekend.  Houses of the Holy the song is another favorite I haven't heard in a while.  My life is good.

No brew pubs/restaurants, but I picked up a case of Gordon Biersch from Costco last week for the holidays.  I like the beer, but the main reason I bought it was because I saw Mr. Gordon Biersch give a toast to a minor league hockey player that was retiring for the local San Diego team back in 2001.  The player had spent something like 15 years playing for the team and he was a local favorite.  Mr. Biersch was about 85 with white hair and very healthy looking.  He gave an eloquent toast to the hockey player during half time and then poured himself one of his beers and proceed to down it while the crowd cheered.  He didn't chug it.  He simply smoothly poured it down his throat for about 15 seconds.  I guess you had to be there but Mr. Biersch was a showman and a little bit of a bad-ass.

I know how you feel Travman.  Somedays I want to fire up the HD and do burnouts till sundown.  2nd-gear wheelie my M900 until the front tire stops spinnin.  Blow out the rest of my eardrums (stupid Bobber).  Build another Bobber.  Finish my  Tatt's.  Go to a strip-club, grinnin' like a 17y.o. w/about 100 1-dollar bills.

Other days....a spot of Earl-Grey and a biscotti just set me right.

Rock on with your (most all the time) bad-ass self.

I was talking with my friend about the Gordon Biersch toast for the San Diego hockey player and he told me that Gordon Biersch is not a person.  The company was started by two men.  One had the last name of Gordon and the other had the last name of Biersch.  So I guess whoever I saw down that beer must have been either Mr. Gordon or Mr. Biersch.  Or perhaps it was just an older gentlemen who represented the company that I thought was Mr. Biersch.
