"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I'm glad to see that the Motorcycle "club" was so hospitable to the animal activists even after there rude behavior.  [clap]

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

QuoteNext thing I know he forced me to ride on the back of his motorcycle all day, and would not let me off, because his girl friend was out of town and I was almost a woman.

Aw, he was just lonely.

I was once accosted by a militant vegan friend of a friend for wearing a leather jacket. Word for word:

Him: "Do you have any idea how many cattle had to die so that you could wear that jacket?"

Me: "None. They died to be my dinner. The jacket is just me using the leftovers."

Him: <stunned silence>

Historically, the meat industry made profits on the byproducts (leather, bones, hair, etc). Now the profits come through the heavy subsidies in the bipartisan farm bills. Regardless, the typical synthetic (p)leather is inferior and too often made in sweatshops. There's no way to be completely consistent in a pro-animal, anti-leather way (assuming you consider human suffering to matter at all). I don't eat animals, but I do wear their chemically treated skins and am totally fine with that.
