I currently do make the beast with two backsall.

If anybody in the Austin or Houston area (where I'm considering moving soon) needs a philosophy major with retail and teaching experience, too much booze knowledge, and a shoulder that's soon to be useless until it mends from surgery (as of next week), gimme a call...

Houston blows.  Austin doesn't.  Much closer to some good roads too.

I am not really sure what I am supposed to do...I usually make it up as I go along.....and they pay me pretty well to be involved...but I can go for months doing nothing...they don't seem to care...as long as I am there when they think of me

These days I'm a Field Engineer for a major Telco, building SONET & ROADM rings that allow all you guys to satisfy your internet fix.

did the same (building fiber rings) until very recently and enjoyed it...now am maintaining telecom backup power...big diesel engines, generators, batteries, etc...went from high tech to low tech but am liking it a lot so far.
