The bike in front doesn't do much for me but the two in the background have some interesting touches - I'd like to see better pics of them.

Monster copy with a TL1000 engine.  Fairly well done, I rode one in Italy last year.  Cagiva COULD have done more with them, but they are basically done for now.  Talk about a "parts bin" bike!

i've seen modern stuff done with bevel engines, but that frankenstein setup just hurts to look at.

I was going to let that one slide, but I have to agree.  The frame isn't pretty and the yellow wheel with the red frame gives it a Ronald McDonald look.  I'd have to be a little more respectful of such a classic engine. 

I'm sure everyone has seen this bike before, but just in case, this is how modern stuff can be combined with bevel engines.

yeah, the beveltech is incredible.

Can't imagine why the one with a Monster tank badged VeeTwo would turn out so ugly unless it was VERY mid-project.  (There are wires dangling off the motor)... Seat fitment is poor too.

that's a good point, but i guess you have never owned an older duc.  all of mine have had shit hanging/falling off of them...

i have a GTL that I love.  when i bought it, i rode it off planning to ride it home (like 20 miles).  about halfway there, one of the damn cylinders stopped firing, which on that bike is a pregnant dog since it's 180 deg parallel..  it would start up while on the kickstand, but then stop firing when i started riding.

i got it towed, and after banging my head trying to figure out why one cylinder wouldn't fire unless it was on the kickstand.

there is no kickstand switch.

goddam points had disconnected and were grounding when it was leaning.    it took me 6 goddam months to notice it was swinging (cause whenever i looked up there, it was leaning against the frame..  bang head bang head bang head

The guys over at Big D Cycle were telling me that "part of the joy of owning one of our beautiful classic triumphs or nortons or tritons is that you get to play 'where did that part go' when you arrive at your destination".  - That, and the opposite shifting.
