The what I'd expect to see James Bond driving in Bond 23:

Either way, I like the looks of the new Lotus "Evoras"

I liked it as a submarine! I do like the old one pictured above. And it has been confirmed that this is being used in filming the next movie....oh and D. Craig is also to be one of the first owners of the new Lotus.

Weren't the Lotus Esprit's (probably spelled wrong) pieces of shit?

They were a bit sketchy in the 80's along with most other British cars. They started to pull it together in the '90's with the 180R and then the V8 Twin-Turbos.

Raux

there was an Esprit for sale in the local paper here recently for 9k... man, if i had 9k expendable change...

that's what I thought with the 80's ones. I don't think the British have ever been very good at making vehicles. I know Land Rover/Range Rover is owned by ford, but they still are pieces of shit. A friend of mine HAD a Range Rover. It was in the shop at least twice a month. After the warranty ran out, the guy said he was sick of spending 3k a visit, so he got rid of it.

My dad had a friend with one of the old Esprit's. Apparently if you didn't always drive it like you stole it, the engine would get gunked up, and you'd have it in the shop. Also needed to be driven very frequently.

But again.......he eventually ditched as he was sick of dumping money in it.

I got to sit in it once. Very cool car. Still have a soft spot for one and would love one in the stable, but the repair aspect scares me.

Yea... cause none of us would own a vehicle that is expensive to repair or maintain.  [roll]
