So what is needed to create a particular part?  Wouldn't you need a detailed instruction in CNC language?  Or can it copy an existing part, like cutting a key?

Years ago when I was in school, I had to write some CNC instructions to cut some basic shape out of wax.  No curve or anything.  Just 90* cuts and one 45* slope.  Half of the class failed...

It uses a language called G code. It takes a little while to learn and understand it but it's not super hard.  It also has What Haas calls an  intuitave programming system.  In this system you input the info and it creates the g code, and it works pretty well on fairly simple stuff.  I have a cam system that I will be programming it with, It will allow me to make more difficult parts faster.  It's called Gibbs Cam and it takes a while to learn. We use it at work and I have 12 years experience with it.  The software costs more than the machine but, Since I'm a programmer at work they bought me a nice laptop with a well optioned seat of it, as well as my own seat of solidworks.

You should crank out some gixxer fork conversion spacers, you'll have that thing paid off in no time!

Are you still making cyclecat rearset replacement parts? I'm guessing there would be a lot of interest for those! [thumbsup]

Yes I am.  I hope to make a few adjustable toe pegs this weekend. I would also like to find some shift and brake levers so I can try to make some replacements for those. Right now I'm waiting on a quote for annodize on some Replacement pegs I will be having made.
