I just copied this from a 4wd Forum.
Fairdink um theres no pleasing some Roll Eyes

Bear in mind there a different breed in the west laughingdp

hi all
although w.a started the new system on 1/1/10 it has just hit home today when i received a renewal notice for my car and also camper trailer

that there will be no windscreen sticker or trailer disc to visually refer to any more
although i recall hearing about it
it has just sunk in

leaving a void down the track of : gee when is the license due etc i feel there will be a lot of people getting caught out by this system

one will have to check before going on a trip etc and when looking at second vehicles
but i guess it will grow on me eventually but at the moment seems like an inconvenience forced on us for the almighty $$$$$$$savings

what do others think of the new erra/error/mistake Huh?Huh???

do the other states have this as well as w.a
or is it just w.a saving $2 million on them

i think i will be applying some form of reminder sticker with expiry date attached to my vehicle where it can be seen by the driver
cheers

i'd like to see labels removed completely, it would save me getting booked for not displaying one! oh hang on, bligh won't do that, even though it's a cost saving she won't get revenue from the fines bang head

Your Right there Paul that was some of the sentiments from others here on the east coast they will miss out on fines.
And Police using it as an excuse to pull you over to check your rego label, and any thing else they can ping you for.

good to see WA doing the 'green thing' and getting rid of those environmentally unfriendly things.  besides the police have scmods nowadays with optical number plate readers, that's how the tell if you are registered. Grin Grin

+1  applause.  By the time Plod pulls you over he/she already knows if you're registered or not.... for why they still need a placky label beats me.

We didn't have these silly rego stickers in Canada, surely you ack-basswards Australians can do without 'em too.  Silly old system doesn't make any sense in the first place.

Good riddance to sticky bits on my windshield, and flimsy plastic bits on my bike!
