What is the seat height of an ST3?

I was thinking along the lines of an FZ1 or a 2010 Z1000.  Any thoughts?

Pretty sure it's right at 32 inches.

I'd also consider the F800S/ST.

I spent some time on an ST.  Loved it.  I'd prefer the styling of the S.....but they're basically the same bike.  Demo one if you can.

There is a used one at the dealer, so that could be a possibility.

You already owned the cousin of the best all-arounder there is: Suzuki Bandit 1200S.   ;)

You've been on the Max 'zuk site, so you know that people track them, drag them, streetfighter them, tour on them, and commute on them.  There's an absolute shite-ton of aftermarket parts.

If you get bored, you can turn the 1200 (actually 1157 cc) into a 1277 with >160 rwhp.   [evil]

The older model 1200s (<2006) are air/oil cooled and not quite as heavy as the new liquid-cooled models.  They weigh in around 450 lbs., but if you replace the exhaust can, you loose about 15 lbs.  No ABS though.

[popcorn]

P.S. I just put a radar detector and Scottoiler on mine and I'm gettin' ready for Crazy Horse/Mt. Rushmore/etc. trip in a few weeks.

'05 S4R (>47k mi); '04 Bandit 1200 (>92k mi; sold); '02 Bandit 1200 (>11k mi); '97 Bandit 1200 (2k mi); '13 FJR1300 (1k mi); IBA #28454 "45"

Both are nice bikes. I think the fazer is the only one that is available with any sort of significant fairing though. They're both around the same price range, if that's a concern. If that's what you're leaning towards I'd say either one is good, the aesthetics are completely up to you.

You are right on all counts!  If I was taller, I would definitely consider a Bandit again. They are great bikes, aren't they?

How tall are you? It is quite easy to get use to taller bikes.

You can have the foam shaved on most of the seats that are just a bit over your desired height.

I'd say BMW 1200GSA, if only to satisfy my sense of proportion  :D
