Good news!  Pain killers are never fun when you need them.

Glad you are able to skip the med and are on the mend and able to do that  [beer]
Sorry Yuu for crossing the line, it's one of my faults.

Nah... I'd already scarred myself before you ever got started.

Yay Lu! Getting of meds is always a good sing of mending. Getting any real foods yet?

I haven't gotten the slightest buzz the whole time. Not fair.

Had my one-week post-op follow-up (wow, that is a lot of words with dashes) today and Doc says I'm healing up really well! No chewing or real physical activity for another 6 weeks and he'll see me at the end of May. We celebrated by going to one of my fav restaurants where I know the chef and he made me some foods I could eat like gazpacho. My mum also let me have a few sips of her sangria. If I can make it tomorrow morning on just the prescription IB Profen, she says I can have a beer....and I am 14 years old again...

all around, a great day!  ;D

I've heard from doctors that if you only take opiates when you are in severe pain, then you have very little chance of getting addicted.  So that's a good thing (the lack of addiction, not the pain obviously). ;)

Hi Lu,

I read this whole thread and I don't know what happened to you but it doesn't sound good !

I hope you have a full and speedy recovery from whatever unfortunate accident or act of God that befell you.

Be glad that you're young 'cause you'll have many years to forget it even happened.

I just happen to be that DJ and I just got a request for this:

'09 Triumph Bonneville
S2R800 dark - searching for

dusty

Is it just me or are they all barefooted males?

Glad you're getting better Lu.  You are young.  Everyday will be better than the last. :)

Guess who just got back on the bike for the first time??

Yes, me! I only managed a short ride before the tightness of the helmet started bothering me, but it felt great!

THANK YOU THANK YOU endlessly to Hiero for keeping my bike safe for me and even cleaning it (we were starting a much needed detail when the assault happened, she was super dirty)!

Infinitely happy to be back in the saddle. I also got my final x-ray back. Check it out, it kinda looks like I have a moto chain in there!

Slide Panda

Lu got a GRILL!

Hmm, you're right. Really does look like a bike chain in there.

Good to hear you're on the mend Hon.

Hopefully that chain lasts a little longer than the 12k miles I just got out of the one on my Duc.  ;)

Glad you are doing better Lu!  [thumbsup]
