maybe i can save some money and run 1 848 fork with 1 radial caliper. the other an S2R1000 fork with non radial caliper?

Could be worse. When I ordered my Swatt's last year there was only one in the box.

Thankfully the box had a big "D" in Sharpie on the end so I was pretty sure it was a display model. A quick email conversation and it got straightened out.

Also, it wasn't from SBTG, but I don't remember who it WAS from, so I won't mention any names.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

lol.... that would be.. interesting to say the least.
i say just call em up and it should get straightened out... i've had good experiences with SBTG thus far... but i've only purchased tires.

I bought a set of boots from them. Happy all around.

Then again, both of the boots they sent me were the same size, so no need to exchange anything.

well im sure they will take care of me. the issue is time.

They arent open till monday. They will probably ask me to ship it back before they mail me theirs, which means i have to pay for it and my bike is going to be down for the next 3 weeks.

Or i can just buy the used ones for sale here on the DMF, save some money and flat out return it for store credit. I just dont want to get charged for the free shipping i got initially cause i want to flat out return the whole thing, and then possibly the shipping return. Thats like $30 bucks already.

What i really dont like is them telling me it has 3" rise above the triple, i thought sweet, it will be higher than my cycle cats, and i can ge them as low as no rise clip ons. but they are barely 2 inches off the top triple. They advertise it as 6" potnetial but theres no way you can get 6". You can get 5" but thats measure the end of the handle bar when its facing upwards, which i dont know anyone who even uses it like that

I literally hate STG now,
I order the rear brake lines from them ( actually all the lines, front brake, and clutch line)
and the rear is customed becasue spiegler does not make rear brake lines for M620 2006.
so I measure it up and I told them  the hose is 16 inches not including the fitting.
cuz when I call Spiegler the manager told me directly measure the hose not the fitting
becasue the fitting can vary so the length is not accurate.

the story goes. I then receive a 16 inches line ( with fitting included)
now... I am 5 inches short. so i called them and they basically said It was mostly my fault
not to tell them it's excluding fitting, com'on man you are the seller and you did not even
mention what type of fitting and did not confirm with me about the size if it's include the fitting or not.

so, they compromise and I ended up paying the 20% restocking fee $20+ and then I order again.
normally when I complaint about the line being 5 inches too short you would just send me a line that's
what ever I have now (16 '') plus 5 inchese right?  they ended up send me a 26 inches line,
which is a whopping 5 inches more now.

SO I CALL AGAIN, and this time the deny the fault and would not do anything...
I mean, are you serious? HOW IN THE WORLD WOULD I ORDER 26 inches line when I know
what i need is 21''..

they are just incompetent in dealing with some small stuff.
I am sure they are in some ways nice as a seller. but in my last experience. BIG NO NO
and I never bought anything from them anymore and I told my friends not to buy from them.

07 GT1000
06 M620, [SOLD]
Modifications are never too many.

He Man

I would of complained to my CC Company and just said make the beast with two backs it.

I dont want to speculate whats going to happen now, i doubt this is their fault because it was packaged by Apex.

Im just pissed of that a lot of things i do revolve around the bike being operable and its not. so wtf does that leave me with?

djrashonal

looks like its time to strap on those walkin shoes! Or get one of those sweet razor scooters  [evil]

I've got a pair of these if you're interested

They're LSL replicas. I can bring them when i fly your way if you dont have anything by then, or just drop them in the mail monday

I gotta say, the error was on your end. Going through an intermediary like STG or Motowheels or any other vendor for something that's a custom line is asking for miscommunication. Ordering direct from Spiegler is crazy-easy. If you want Spiegler lines, you grab some wire, run it where you want the brake line to run and measure the length of wire, look at fittings on Spiegler website, call Spiegler, explain to them what you want and colors, and receive line in 3 days.

Blaming them for a restocking fee is a bit absurd. Custom lines are just that - they have to eat the cost of your mistake because the line is useless to anyone else.  They can't even "restock" it, its a throwaway.

Theres no mistake on his end. If a store such as SBTG which has a great reputation online, is marketing this service, they should be able to provide the service relatively error free. Or else they shouldnt be in the buisness of selling brake lines because they cant seem to get a number right. in fact, shopping smart means picking retailers who have a good repuation. again which SBTG has. So why SHOULDNT you buy from them is a better question than, why didnt you buy direct from spigler. SBTG offers free shipping. Spiegler doenst.

How hard is it to get it down " 16" not including fitting?
Especially since this is how Spiegler measures it....it should be how SBTG measures it. Any competent person knows theres various types of fittings form L to straight to angled, so the length of the fitting varies.

Think of it this way. You phone in the order you tell them you want a 16" line with 90 degree elbows on each end. Fine. you write in 16" line, 90 degree elbow. How do you HONESTLY tell me that the guy is going to take 16" subtract the length of the fitting and cut the line to precisely 16-2 x length of fitting and then build it that way? Its absurd from a manufacturing point of view for this type of application.

I think SBTG should of eaten the restocking fee. And the fact that the 2nd time you tell them your 5 inches short because they sent you a 16" line over all, and they add 10" of line to it. then they are just make the beast with two backsing straight up retarded and whoever is on the phone writing this order down doesnt know what they are doing.

its like going to a construction supply store and a noob is filling in your order and the guy building the order is wondering wtf the noob is writing on the bill.

Sorry dude, but
Quotethey have to eat the cost of your mistake because the line is useless to anyone else.
is like saying your retaded for buying an (for example) alpinestars size 38 jacket, and they send you a 40. Because you should of just bought from Alpinestars directly.

junior varsity

Its not the same as going directly to A* for a jacket - a person can't do that. Spiegler runs an online shop that you can buy directly from, or call and speak with a human being.

I've ordered lines (Spiegler, mind you) once through Motowheels. Everything went perfect as I talked directly to Brian, who I had done business with numerous times. The lines get made and shipped to me. They are not the right size. Somebody made a mistake. Now there's a piece of line with fittings that is completely useless.

How the lines are measured is not uniform across the board.

I call up Brian and ask him "What do we do about this?"

Best plan: Call Spiegler directly, they are here, in the U.S., and you don't have to worry about somebody transposing digits or having poor hand-writing.

The story above doesn't add up. Clerical errors can be made, but "hating STG" for an easily solved problem is ridiculous to me.

He Man

THat was a bad example. the concept of drop shipping from distrubtors is more fit. If you get the wrong size item, where a long the line of distrubotrs should you put fault on? or is it your own fault for not going as direct to the source as possible?

you cant just commute fault  for making the decision to buy from someone.

If you said its a poor decision to buy from a middle man, i would agree. But the fact that the president of speigler is promoting his product through SBTG, tells me that hey, SBTG should know how to deal with their products.

this makes no sense. Do you really think that Spiegler has multiple ways to measure lines and gives each distributor a different set of directions to tell their customers? or theres a way to convert SBTG's line method to Speiglers line method?
Even if SBTG brought it on themselves to measure it differently, is it your fault that they cant convert their own method to spieglers measurement specs?
