Actually, if I took Matt's bike, I would offer Embyr my Rosie.  She might feel more comfortable on an 11 year old bike with 43,000+ miles on it..  Pure speculation on my part, of course...

Bacon Junkie- I've been considering your generous offer- but again, *just in case* something happened, it would be really terrible to have something happen to the birthday boy's bike. I'm a responsible rider with 4 yrs experience- but still, you never know. Just rather not take that chance. But I promise to join y'all for a ride as soon as she's back from the shop.

Well, I thought I'd throw it out there... People have done it for me when I was bikeless, and I wouldn't be me if I didn't try and help out a fellow rider in need.

I know some of you are coming already, but I wanted to open up the invitation...
I'll be cooking, and not just bacon.     Even if you can't ride on Sunday, come hang with some good peeps anyway. 

One or two people are staying overnight for the ride in the morning.  I have room for 3 or 4 bikes in the garage, and room in the backyard for more (mini DIMBY)  [moto]
