Looks like fun.  I've only been there once and loved the road.  We took the 5 north exited Frazier Park Mnt Road - turned left, another left on Valley...something or other road and down the 33 to some tasty food at the base of the mountain.

I'll try and hit up the next outing  waytogo

Damned fine day of riding!!  Thanks for rounding us up for it Ryan.

What is it about the 33 that makes me forget all about "taking it easy"?   [moto]

Wish I could have gone the full loop, but I did manage to accomplish a few chores after I got home. Vino!

Highlights of the day:

1.  Showing the local roads to a resident of the OC.

2.  DEER!!!!!

3.  After almost a year, FINALLY  sharing the road with Erica.

4.  Showing John that I can manage to stay upright for a whole ride.

It's that time again SoCal'rs...

Everyone says they want to ride someplace other than the local Malibu canyons or ACH, so here's your chance.

We's gonna do da 33 again tomorrow...   Evil

Get up a little earlier, meet us at Eggs-n-Things in Ojai (Google it) across from THE gas station @ 9:30am for bacon and anything else you might want to eat. (like you need anything else!)

Last time we had a guy ride up from LONG BEACH  Shocked to meet us and he had the time of his life!

So, you first-timers, no excuses.  Once on the 33 it's impossible to get lost, so if ya want to ride a slower pace, GREAT!  We wait at all turning points for ya!  Nobody gets left behind.  waytogo

I've been taking it a little easier on the roads now that I have a track bike, so the pace won't be too quick...   Wink

So far it's me, SacDuc, and I think Lawbreaker (can't back out now)  Evil

See y'all tomorrow...

Special thanks to Bacon Junkie and orangelion for taking it easy on me today. Its now 8:00pm and I'm just starting to feel better. I don't know if it was the heat today or the booze last night or both but I definitely know that cutting my ride short was the right thing to do. Thanks for helping me be responsible fellas!  waytogo

Next time we'll  [moto] a bit faster and definitely put more miles behind us.

Bring a lotta water...

It was 104 up there yesterday, and tomorrow it's gonna be upper in the 90's.

Do you take the 5 to Frazier Park, then Cerro Noroeste, or come up the 166 from Taft/Maricopa?

it sucked up there today.

82 degrees on the kern county side..... 50 degrees on the hill..... granite construction holding up traffic to patch the road.... tons of asphalt trucks crossing the double yellow.... so I decided to take the 5 back and it's 105 from Ojai on into Bako  Angry

not a happy funtime ride to be had today.

that and I got stood up on a riding partner in Mericopa.

Sux dood...

Next time we go up, come down the day before, stay over, (I'll cook bacon) and we'll head out through the orange and avocado groves to the 150 to the 33....

We call it the 5 couties loop.  Ventura, Santa Barbara, SLO, Kern, and LA Counties.

Cerro Noroeste Rd. =   bow down drool bacon
