Search for Accidental Coolness on iTunes. That's the CD title, band is Sweet Liberty.

Honestly we haven't played out much since our guitar player had his testicles removed got married. But we're releasing a second CD soon and that should change once he gets his balls out of her purse a little more motivated with the new music.

hahahaha, i toured with a married guy once.  never goes well.  so we just fed him jack daniels and beer and told him his wife was probably cheating on him anyway and not to worry about it.  [thumbsup]

What is the difference between boom tubes and welding on some piping? what makes them worth $900 ???

Nakid's neighbors must really love him.

Try riding through a tunnel behind him - it's REALLY loud! I think it gave my brain a seizure from the vibrations!!!

I am really curious to know how loud it is with different buffer settings.  There are a number of videos on youtube but I don't see a side by side comparison (Stock/after market vs. boom tubes).  Since the sound level differ from video to video, it's really hard to gauge...

Maybe I can just stop by the shop.  It's just 20 miles away.

I don't have any comparison sound clips (looking back, I wish I would have made them), but I have had a couple of different exhaust configurations on my bike and, hands down, Mark's boomtubes (or in my case, BoomTublets) sound, look the best (for me at least).

I started with the stock exhaust - pretty much sucks
Then Termignoni slip-ons w/ DP headers (no db killers)- much better then stock. Loud, but a muffled sound.
I ran the stock udder while Mark had my headers - Had I known that that the udder sounded that good, I would have never dropped the cash on the Termis.  (Not that the Termis didn't have a better sound, but not $1500 better)
Finally, I have my DP headers that Mark mated short baffled extensions to.  Loud and has a lot of "thump".  Exactly what I wanted.  I would say that the boomtubes, with the "loud" baffling would compare to the noise level of the udder by itself, but the sound of the Boomtubes (or my Boomtublets, at least) is much cleaner and have a better growl on decel.

Thanks Psycledelic.  I appreciate your feedback.  So I can safely assume that the loud setting on the boomtubes would be comparible to udder alone (no buffing).  The other settings would be somewhere in between stock and udder.  I personally think having the udder alone is just way too loud...

I sort of agree. I think there are baffels in them but they look just like you described. Like piping. I guess I am in the minority most like them, I like Termi and most dont!!!

I thought the udder sounded good, but kind of "hollow" at idle.  My exhaust from Mark has a sharp and decisive, V-twin (or L-twin, I guess) thump to it.  It does a good job of turning heads when I roll through town.

I've also had the married guy who couldn't wait to tour, if you know what I mean.

There are baffles in there.
You can choose the level of aural assault you prefer.
I'm no welder.
If you just weld on some piping, you will cause spontaneous abortions 2 blocks away.
Look prettier.

I have a m750 if I put boom tubes on would it make it rune lean? Would I need to adjust the carbs??

Hey Zenjim, Do you notice a big difference in a$$ temp?  As I was sitting in traffic this afternoon in 95 degree weather, I was thinking it might be nice to not have the underseat exhaust adding to the discomfort.  I would think the boomtubes would make a big difference.
