Ok, lets say the thing is made out of 21k gold and diamonds, It's still a bike that will get smoked by a GSXR 1K. The whole custom chopper thing should be a thing of the past. When will people stop paying huge amounts of money for something thats slightly custom. Basically the design work is already done. Its not like they invented the wheel. Still anice bike though.
1) It's not a chopper.
2) It's not always about speed, if it was, you wouldn't own the bike you do.

i think he's mistakenly thinking that billet means aluminum - billet simply means "machined from solid block", in this case billet steel, etc. No billet alu cranks out there.
yes my mistake i did mistakenly assume that "billet" bc its normally used in connection with alum parts, had some sort of alum alloy crank. but i guess you can machine a crank about of a billet stock of steel, but damn that has take a ton of time.
also remmeber mv agusta put out a limited edition f-4 a couple years ago that was 120k and it was basically just a normal f4 but with a lot of bling parts.
i give ncr credit they are great at marketing their "skills" of custom bikes and suchy. their stuff may or may not be "worth" the price they are asking but then again is a ferrari really "worth" 250k new? its all relative. remember this is the only hypermotard of its type, so that alone may be "worth" the price of 140k to an individual who wants "the only" bike of its type.

I suppose they're showcasing their skills and products. It's an outrageous two wheeled advertisement.
Costs way too much for Joe Average, but cashed up customers might buy their stuff.
I really do like the 116hp/295 equation. A 90hp/360lb is a more realistic equation for my money.

Wow, I guess I stepped on a couple of your guy's nuts. I did'nt mean to tick anyone off, I'm just saying that for 140K it better be the next best thing to sliced bread.

unless it's a slice of titanium bread it would even be close
wish I had stupid money though, imagine how little my 620 would weigh with the same setup and carbon fiber wheels

Check out the titanium frame & swingarm. I like the custom made bodywork. It looks lower on the frame which gives it an aggressive look.

The final bill: $140,000
Adding 20hp and removing 20kg (45lbs) from my Monster would make it a formidable street weapon.

How close is your bike getting to the NCR yardstick for power to weight ratio?
Cheers

$140,000 in the bike is probably using some IZ_ math. It will end up on ebay for $50,000 some day, and still not sell, just like all the 100k choppers.

somebody on one of the palm frond islands will buy it at that price since its "prestigious" but not useless like a chopper.

I'm doing a lot of research on a lightweight bike..
Kamena did a 2v sbk chassis bike like I'm looking to build...
with no Ti frame
no ti spring
2 rotors that are NOT CMC
no carbon wheels
302 lbs.
And it isn't costing anywhere near 140k

I've got about $130,000 more to spend before I'm in that ballpark. My bike is basically a stock bike with some suspension upgrades and some Carrozzeria wheels which save some weight. The motor work hasn't been tested on a Dyno yet. I'm hoping to see close to 100 hp, but there is no guarantee.

Durbahn is another that does the SBK 2V mix and superlight weight. BUT his site is offline. hope that doesn't mean anything bad.
edit: sorry stand corrected. it's a 4v 1098 and it's 305lbs WITH fuel
