You talking about my pops or my uncle.

Your pops.  He probably wasn't trying to make you feel guilty but I just love those family conversations like, "X relative doesn't want to do Y but if you ask maybe then they will"

Here is my S&W MP15T along with my Kimber to keep it company.  The M4orgery is a little different now, with an Eotech, tango down front grip and a surefire LED set-up...

SKS update:

Just added a Tapco Fusion stock, still waiting on my red dot sight and 20 round mags.

I bought a 228 off a fellow on a different forum.  Basically he sent it to my local shop and they did the FFL transfer.  How much are you looking to get for the 06?

Sorry for the late response.  Not entirely sure how much yet for the 06.  This thread made me think about it and the fact that I'm probably not going to be using it much.  I need to see what's market value.

Having recently been trying out a red dot scope I'm finding it very difficult to adjust to a 1x scope.  I'm used to at least a 4x32 and I think even that is a bit light for my desire for pinpoint accuracy.  It's probably best for making a hit but for one stop shotting I think I'm going back to a +power of some sort.

I like the way that Fusion looks.  I may go that way for my 10/22 yet.  There is a pretty cool receiver 'conversion' that will allow a 10/22 to utilize just about any AR15 aftermarket furniture but it's quite expensive when all is said and done.  Probably 3x-4x the price of the rifle when all the pieces are assembled.

I was raised to use iron sights.  The only time my pops ever let me use a scope was when he took me deer hunting.

Since then, I've only done some limited plinking with pistols and 22s.  I figure the red dot won't be too much of a change, other than easier/faster target acquisition.

Well you my friend will last 4 times as long as the poor shmucks in the zombie movies- so I guess that means you got about 20 minutes out of that one gun.  Good thing you've got all those others too!
After my 3 shots give out I will have to resort to fighting them off Ted Nugent style- "... buck nekid with nuthin but a survival knife..."
