Finally went to finish my in-processing.  Spent all day up at Bolling and found out they weren't going to reimburse the full stay at the hotel the way they said they would.  "I'm sorry sir, but the person that approved you for 30 days did so incorrectly.  You are technically only authorized 10 days"...  FML...

Did what now?

Broke off the tip of the clutch lever. Unintentionally, I ehm... laid down the bike while making a U-turn.  Embarrassed

No damage other than the circumcised lever, once again frame sliders save the day!

The irony of it is that I had just come down (from Whites Ferry) the gravel part of River Road and I was making the u-turn because I wanted to go back and have at it again  Evil

To avoid confusion, I wasn't riding the Yellow M900, I was riding my gray M750. No way am I riding on gravel with clip-ons!

ask Ian what it is like to follow me when I hit a gravel road....I was on my old Monster at the time and I think ( I am not 100% on this recollection) he was on his old 620 at the time and Em was bringing up the rear...HAHHAAHAA

Got nailed by a pigeon in the helmet going down Benning Rd at about 30 mph. Knocked him clean out and he landed in my lap. At the next light, I'm getting ready to pitch the bird off to the side of the road and it wakes up and flies into the car beside me. The guy in it. says, "Holy shit! I can't believe that." Pigeon hitting is NOT my new favorite sport.

Despite the temp, I got out on the pedals this evening. Rode by the dog park down in Shirlington, but didn't see Ian or Ben. If you saw a chubby, hairy dude on a fixed gear, looking rather dehydrated, that was me.

16 miles. 3 lbs of water weight. Good night.

Derailleurs... boooooo!!!

Sweet man!  That's a nice looking ride.  No where near as billboardy as a lot of Spech's...  I'm looking forward to getting my bikes here so I can get out and do some pedaling...

When do you think you will be all good and done with the move/renovation Chris?  I'm thinking our resident flounder needs to make a showing at one of the weekly events so I can buy him a drink.   Evil
