If you look at a Daytona, go with an 09 or newer.  That way you get the upgraded engine internals, better suspension and nicer brakes.  Also, don't forget there is that one red '10 with less than two thousand miles down in the swamp land.  Dude will take $7500 for it.

Ah, so the revision was in '09. That's what I meant - thanks for the heads-up.

Regarding the one down in LA... I couldn't get a good recommendation for shipping. Then I thought about doing the 1-way ticket/ride home thing but I just don't have that kind of time right at the moment.

It's a fast bike, it could be done in a day Smiley I'll ride down with you, Colleen says the Monster is way more comfy than her ex's crotch rocket for two-up.

Can't recommend riding up from there.  Who did you contact regarding shipping?  I used Pasha/Allied when I shipped the SC up here from Hawaii.  It came to $1300, but that included fifteen grand worth of insurance.

Wait... are you saying you already dropped the damn thing?
Already? I'm guessing you sir, have not been to CornerSpin. I was in good company. I think only one person at the school made it through day 1 without loosing the bike at some point. And no one made it out alive... er... without hitting the dirt.

Hell, even one of the instructors had to throw feed down while demo'ing the last drill. And I quote "Man, that's slippery. The most I think it's ever been. I'd like to tell you I was putting my leg out cause I wanted to, but I wasn't going to make it if I didn't"

You gonna turn that 900 into a flat-tracker? Grin Sounds like fun, actually.

Shit no... Light as it is, it's a heavy pig by comparison... oofa

I want to go to there.

Go! Let Aaron know I sent ya - though he might be out for a bit. He's got ACL recon in a few days. Oh and take a buddy, it's a long way down there. It's better with a copilot.

If you can manage to herd the cats... Cagey put out something a while back asking if anyone else wanted to go, as he was planning. That's how I got on board.

They do offer a discount if you bring a friend. If you can manage to gather up a half dozen committed  folks - they might cut a little more.

What if I bring half a dozen folks that SHOULD be committed?

Lot's of crashing.

If you can get a dozen, you need to call them. Class size it around about that so you'd need to deal with booking.

That won't be a problem, it's hard to get three of us to do anything without bribing them with beer or pizza.

I smell a CAM/BAD event...

12 of us went down about 4 years ago - one of the BEST weekends ever.  I've done it 3 times and every time I learn something new!
