Made this out of a leftover sheet of 6061-T6 Aluminium. It will hold down the front of the gas tank and provide some cover/protection for the pod filters. That's some real Shinya Kimura isht right there. Build-off!

You Sir are an artisan among artisans! I actually did end up hacking it a bit because the hole for the tank pin was too low. Not to mention my sofisticated bending techniques: I bolt the thing on the frame, start bending it by hand and then finish it by inserting the handlebars between the trellis and leveraging a bit!

Bought and/or rented the necessary supplies for me to change the rear spring on the S2R...I'll be having fun with my camping headlight in the garage tomorrow. So if you see a guy on a swayback monster tomorrow...say Hi!

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Have you decided to keep that thing?

Most likely. If nothing else, it's fun to torment Lars with.

Got the Dorsoduro back on the road. Rode to work today and it felt like a hot hairdryer in my face riding home. Need a new front tire...the middle has plenty of tread, but sides are about bald.

Quick run to the garage this AM to do a bit of work. Front is pretty much complete - fender is on the way but I still need to decide between a TrailTech Vapor or something with more bling $$$.... Speaking of bling, here's the clutch pressure plate and billet spring retainer (yea I need to do something about the frame paint).

No, the udder interferes with the 916-type swingarm so it would have to go. I had hoped I could get away with just moving the inlet for the vertical head to the side but that wont work. I would like to use the S2r's dual mufflers but I want to keep them low like the exhaust on the Streetfighter, we'll see how that works out....

Worked for a few hours (I'm NOT liking this one bit by the way!) and then left early to hit the Bowie loop before heading home (I liked this a lot better!). Now I've entered a severe depression upon realizing my summer of fun is over! Damn it!!!!!!
