Just now saw this thread. Lucky you got inside -- it's pouring mightily. I'll catch up next time.

Good meeting everyone tonight.  I talked with the manager of CCB about the possibility of a regular chapter meeting spot there and he told me that they could offer us $2 beers and $5 appetizers if we have decent numbers... Thoughts?

That must have been a nasty power outage because a big strip of 395 had no power also.

Good meeting everyone tonight.  Hopefully we can do some riding and more meets in the future.

Let's do it the same night as the runners club, I enjoyed the view last night  Evil

Jokes aside, I had a great time! Glad to see you guys.

Ok, there's one vote for a repeat performance of last night.  Anyone else have any input regarding location or times for the next meet?

Hank Dietles in Rockville right across from White Flint.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/gog/bars-clubs/hank-dietles-tavern,793866.html

it is a roadhouse dive with a shitty lil 6 foot bar pool table and a bar that accepts cash only and serves bags of chips as food most nights and had exactly the opposite of most every other place you'll walk into anywhere in the DC Metro area...the beer isn't a vast selection or great by any means, but it is there and cheap!...there is a perfectly acceptable amount of room out front or on the side for which to park motorcycles and it has the most earnest way about itself over any place you'll go to.

that's my vote!!

Hank Dietles in Rockville...

I'd be up for dis. Also like CCB. I think we should have 2-3 venues in/around DC and rotate.

My 2 pesos...

Ok, so maybe we can make CCB the central spot, DT the northern spot, now all we need is something a bit more south for the folks that live Springfield way.  Thoughts?

Don't mind Dietles Tavern (aka DT) as long as someone is willing to make up for the loss of good looking runner chicks Wink

I would also consider Adams Morgan, as there's plenty of bike parking (which is important for those who actually ride their bikes to these meets!), and the area is not as bad as during the weekend.

Oh, and a plug for Georgetown too, parking is ok and there's a few nice places.

No matter how nicely you ask, I'm not wearing a skirt.
