I have a bunch (cases and different qtys.) of Black Hills .223 I need to get rid of, less than dealer cost. Red and Blue box.   PM for info.......

Is this permitted?  I will find out in a minute I bet.........
First of all...

This should go in the classifieds....

I have some concern about board liability if you break the law about where it's shipped and how

Board isn't liable unless the items themselves are illegal, which ammo is not regardless of where you live.  There might be licensing reqs for places like LA or NYC, but that doesn't affect the board since the items themselves are still not contraband.

If the items were themselves contraband (such as pharms or illegal drugs), which are not legal to possess NOR to sell, then the board could be liable for something if the posting wasn't removed.

But ammo isn't contraband by itself.   It's no different from a seller on Gunbroker.com selling ammo.  Seller has to make sure he's obeying the law and if not, gunbroker.com doesn't acquire liability.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I'm pretty sure some states require ammo be shipped to an FFL, but your explanation makes sense.

Post up your for sale in the Miscellaneous forum of the classifieds Bo...

No state requires it but several cities do. Ill requires the recipient to have an FOID, but that's the only STATE I know of with an unusual requirement.

Cities: NYC, LA, certain counties in northern CA, Chicago all require ammo to be shipped to an FFL.

My question is why sell it? Just go shoot it!! [laugh] [thumbsup]
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

That's kinda what I was thinking

Ammo needs to be shipped by UPS or Fedex or similar - not legal through USPS
This isn't a dress rehearsal for life - this is it!

I have plenty for the rest of my life, and my barrel twists do not like the heavy stuff.  Sorry about the trouble I pulled it,  And moved to the classifieds.

One case of 52gr is the lightest, blue box........Are you talking bout the Flea/Market miscellaneous.  Slim chances over thier I think?
No big deal, not really trying to sell that hard.  I have many cases left over from being a dealer, and stockpiling for the war!!! [bang]

Do you have 1 in 7 or 1 in 9 twists? I'm familiar with Black Hills just not the red box, blue box difference. I'm kind of a Federal Lake City kind of guy. Care to explain? Thanks! [thumbsup]

Red is new...

blue is used brass.

The Black Hills stuff is reputed to be good stuff.

Yeah...but that's where stuff is sold here.

Just keep it to pm's without a bunch of 'pitching' here.

Sound OK?

My brother is looking to buy a progressive loader for hand gun calibers.  What is your favorites for ease of loading?  My old Hornady has to be ancient by now.

Id recommend any brand that has a good following and die/part availability.

Rcbs, Dillon, hornady all will make usable ammo

I used to have 1/7 for 68gr .223 that I used for long distance plate shooting,  that is why I am trying to sell the heavy stuff as I got rid of those guns.  (no pitching just a fact DP).  I have tried the heavy stuff in my military guns and got perfect keyholes everytime.  I think all new military is 1 in 7 now, (used to be 1 in 9) as they work better with the standard 62gr. ss109.  But I can shoot the 109 in all my guns no matter what the twist.  Must be a happy medium with that weight.

I could never tell any difference between the red and blue.......
