Well, mine's polimer frame, steel slide ... light and manuverable, I actually wanted a CZ 75 or a CP-01 but, due to US telling weapon manufacturers whom to not to sell to ... unless DOS and DOD says it's ok to sell some guns to latinamerican countries as well as ammo ... we might get lucky and get some ... had to sell my SA XD40 due to cash issues when I was in between jobs 2 years ago ... miss it ...

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Used to be a machine gun shoot right outside the city limits of Hot Springs, Arkansas back in the 90s that me and my first wife would ride our scooter to. Didn't take any class III stuff cause all my class III dealer buddies were always there and we could shoot their guns. [thumbsup] Used to have some great pics of the ex shooting a M60. She was a wee bit of a thing but she toughed it out for several nice long bursts. Yes, she pregnant doged about her shoulder the next day. We all had a ton of fun. Right at dusk everyone who had them ran tracers. Cool stuff. Lots of dead boats, cars, household appliances, etc to shoot at. Good times for sure and the ride through twisty AR roads wasn't shabby either! ;D

You know, I have to say, that last video with 20 minutes of full auto firing really does not help me not want to buy more guns.

I don't know how but in the past year I went from not caring about them much to loving them!

I read about them.

I watch videos about them.

I shoot the ones I have

I love reloading

I want more!!!

AR
870
wheel gun
semi auto sg
another 1911 to trick out and not molest the original one I have now
and the list goes on.

after watching those 2 videos I can't help but wonder how hard it is to get the slip that lets you have full auto stuff and cans.

It just seems like such a good idea :D

Even the wife is getting into it.  We were looking at Ruger LCR's the other day in .380.  Way cool.  I didn't think I'd like it much, but we both decided we did.  A little small for my paw but I could shoot it.  Perfect for her.

The LCR is a sweet little mouse gun! I've had Seecamps and I have a .32 & .380 Kel-Tec but I still liked the Ruger enough to get one too. Did I need it? Hell no. No more than I need all my scooters. It's not supposed to make sense. Never has never will. [thumbsup]

Getting signed off for class III stuff is the big hurdle. Some places are much easier than others. I had connections with the local sheriff's office and I worked for State District felony criminal court judges that also were personal friends of mine since childhood. A civil or family law district judge would not be able to sign off... just a criminal court judge. Or your Sheriff or someone with the authority to do so in the Sheriff's office, District Attorney or the Chief of Police in your city/county. Passing the ATF and FBI screens are the easy part. If you had a criminal/troubled past you wouldn't even try to get past their screenings. [bang] And the $200 tax stamp hasn't changed since the 1934 NFA law was passed. Most Sheriffs and Police Chiefs are hesitant these days to have their signature on any paperwork that would allow someone in their jurisdiction to own a machine gun or silencer. You can forget DAs! Get it signed by the right person and the rest is easy. Just costs $200 and takes a few months.

There is also the corporation route. It takes the personal part out of it. If you owned a corporation the gun or silencer could be transferred into the corporation's name and it would be owned by the corporation and not by an individual. If you were an official officer of the corporation (CEO, Vice President, etc) you would have the right to use the registered gun or silencer. I had friends that were lawyers at the courthouse that did this and were big fans of this method. I am no expert on all the legal details but I am sure a look at the ATF's website would tell you all you need to know. Going the corp. route avoids having to get someone to sign off on your application. Check it out. [thumbsup]
