45 is not cheap.

cheapest I can find right >now< is about 25c per round. 9mm is about 15c/round.  lowest i can find 22 is 8c/round.

for comparison, 5.56 is about 40c/round and 5.45 is about 23c/round.

It's been a while since I've shot or bought supplies to load but I think I was under .15 for 9mm and under .10 for .45

Components have gotten pricey.

It costs me ~.15 for 9mm with a plated bullet.

I don't see .05 less for .45 even with lead.

Maybe the numbers are without brass. Like I said, it's been a while.

Those numbers don't count brass. Assumes range pick ups.

Are you still shooting that South American .45?

Shooting it, no. Storing it, yes.

It's not the greatest shooting pistol. The barrel, slide and frame all still match and I'm guessing it's had a few put through it since it was made in the early 40's

But it's cool.

I've been shooting a lot of 22 rifle lately.

I'll shoot indoor 22 pistol this fall/winter.
