MidSouth Shooter's has TulAmmo .223 for about 22c/round if you buy in bulk.  Shipping is very reasonable too -- even with the overweight charge for 80lbs .

55g/FMJ .. good range stuff.  I've been using it in my Valmets and ARs and both like it a lot.

That place has some good pricing!  .38 for $13.63 per box.

Not my range, but I'm sure those cars are there to be shot at/from etc.

I figured something like that, but from my tiny iPhone 4s screen (and late at night) they didn't look beat up on! Best to ask! ðŸ'ðŸ»

After a slight case of paralysis by analysis, I finally made a decision.

I choose the Ruger GP100 over the SW 686.

Going to the range tomorrow.

I'm very happy with mine.
Didn't like the front sight and had to change it out for a HIVIZ sight.

I don't know about the steel case. The last time I used it in my ar a shell got stuck.  The heat melts the coating and if you leave a round in the chamber for more than a minute it gets stuck.  :-\

I tested that hypothesis a while back on a bet -- emptied a round, removed the primer and then used a torch on the unfired case.

No melting.  Nothing.  Case was glowing red.  Nothing came off when I scraped it.

I did find that SOME 5.56 cut chambers will stick but only if they are dirty.  Slight differences in the 5.56 and .223 cut (5.56 is slightly larger and using .223 spec ammo allows for some crap to remain)..

But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I'm going to have to reconsider the steel case but in .223.

Thanks for the info.
