It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Shot an RMR with the 3.25 dot out in Nevada. Got one on the way and I'll put one of my 6.5's on the scattergun. The frame is finished for the 1911 build, and the slide is about done. Hopefully it'll all ship next week. I want this build in the worst way. I'm picking up a G48 and I'm gonna truck it out a little. Grip work, sights, trigger etc. nobody has a matchgrade barrel yet.

Picked up the 48. Ordered sights, trigger etc for it. This gun has some potential. 1911 goodies shipped today. It'll take a month or so to get it sorted out. The 3.25 RMR showed up as well, I'll run it tomorrow.

Ran a couple three hundred rounds with the 3.25 dot today. Zero was close enough for gubment work out of the box. I'll tweak it as I go. Now the 6.5 looks like a trash can lid. I believe this is the ticket. ymmv.

Went back to back, weather coming in tomorrow. Absolutely beautiful day and I was feeling it today. 50yds and in, multiples, mag change drills, movement, obstacles. Got fresh cerakote and sights on the new G48, trigger from Agency is on the way.

Doing a train up this week for one of the youngsters going to SFARTAETC. I ran that G48 today pretty hard. I'm liking that gun a lot.

Finished the train up today. We put him through countless drills this week and he's looking solid. Shouldn't have any trouble at the school house. I did a drill today I came up with last night. An advanced ball & dummy drill so to speak. I would put mags in his guns and kit that had all kinds of different round counts, some empty. I gave him an MOE, and he just had to deal with what transpired. Now that I'm retired, it's an honor to train young barrel chested freedom fighters.

The beast is assembled. Now it's a matter of waiting for the range to thaw to tune the gas block and figure out what to put on it for optics.
